The LOXX® Shop is operated by Schaeffertec GmbH. At our site in Sprockhövel, Germany, we manufacture LOXX® fasteners and other precision metal components. Product development, manufacturing expertise and personal advice all come from a single source.

Our company’s roots go back to 1876, while production of the self-locking quick-release fastener began in 1928. This knowledge has been preserved and continuously developed across generations and lives on in Schaeffertec today.

Four milestones

A long history, reduced to what matters most.

  1. THE BEGINNING IN BARMEN

    Carl Schaeffer establishes a business trading fabrics, shoe hooks and eyelets. A few years later, the company begins manufacturing its own metal products.

  2. THE ORIGINAL QUICK-RELEASE FASTENER

    The Schaeffer company begins manufacturing the self-locking quick-release fastener for the automotive industry. Its manufacturing knowledge and development have remained part of the Schaeffer tradition ever since.

  3. SCHAEFFERTEC IS FOUNDED

    Through a management buyout, machinery, employees and expertise are transferred to the newly established Schaeffertec GmbH at its new site in Sprockhövel.

  4. TODAY

    SECOND-GENERATION EXPERIENCE

    As a family-run company, Schaeffertec continues to develop and manufacture in Germany. LOXX® combines this experience with new applications in marine, music, automotive, lifestyle and industry.

Precision stamped, bent and drawn parts are manufactured to defined requirements, from functional small components to customised production parts.

The controlled forming of sheet metal and non-ferrous metals is one of our core capabilities, enabling robust geometries with high repeatability.

Springs and resilient components require precisely coordinated geometries. This same expertise shapes the self-locking mechanism inside LOXX®.
